What you’ll do:

We’re looking for a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer who will thrive on turning operational complexity into flow. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s as comfortable on the plant floor as in a meeting with leadership—someone who can see the system end to end, pinpoint constraints, and drive meaningful, measurable change.

You’ll work directly with leadership and line employees in operations, transportation and engineering to identify bottlenecks, stabilize core processes, and unlock breakthroughs—like a 25% increase in capacity or a 15% improvement in availability—by applying practical problem-solving, structured improvement tools, and relentless curiosity.

Location & Travel: Ideal candidates for this position will be located on the West Coast and will travel to and partner with our facilities across the US up to 30% annually. Applicants who are located on the West Coast will be given priority in screening and consideration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead hands-on improvement efforts to streamline material, people, and information flow through our facilities, reducing variability and downtime.
  • Identify and address the true system constraints that limit production throughput; use data and observation to drive 20–30% performance gains.
  • Collaborate daily with plant floor personnel to understand issues firsthand, while influencing engineering and leadership teams to align on solutions.
  • Facilitate focused improvement events and cross-functional initiatives that deliver tangible business results.
  • Coach operations teams on Lean thinking, visual management, standard work, and problem-solving disciplines that sustain improvement.
  • Develop and use operational metrics to reveal performance patterns and track progress toward improved flow, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with maintenance and reliability teams to create stable, predictable equipment performance that supports consistent flow.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations improvement, with a proven record of delivering measurable capacity, flow, or productivity gains.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methods—combined with the flexibility to apply them pragmatically.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to combine data insights and direct observation to diagnose root causes.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills—able to earn trust and drive change with operators, supervisors, and executives alike.
  • Energy, humility, and persistence: you’re comfortable getting dirty, challenging assumptions, and pushing for results.
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related technical field required; advanced degree or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) a plus.

What’s in it for you?

  • Compensation range: $115,000-$125,000 / Year
  • Health, Vision and Dental Benefits (effective the first of the month following your date of hire!)
  • Life Insurance
  • Safe harbor 401(k) plan
  • Paid Time Off
  • Opportunities for Advancement with a Rapidly Growing, Mission-Driven Organization
