What You'll Do

  • Serve as the gas and RNG systems subject matter expert, providing immediate support for optimization, troubleshooting, and constraint resolution across existing facilities.
    • Own the full technical understanding of biogas collection, gas upgrading, CO2 removal, compression, gas quality, and pipeline injection systems.
    • Provide routine and ad hoc technical guidance to site teams operating existing RNG facilities.
    • Identify, scope, and develop improvement projects for existing systems.

  • Drive site-wide performance and technology ownership by identifying common trends across facilities, benchmarking peer operators running similar equipment, tracking vendor and industry developments, and recommending upgrades that improve reliability, methane recovery, compression performance, and gas injection uptime.
  • Lead gas handling and upgrading design for projects in development and in the pipeline, including:
    • Issuing RFPs and managing technology/vendor selection for gas handling equipment including upgrader units, flares, blowers/compressors, and analyzers.
    • Collaborating closely with vendors, contractors, and internal disciplines throughout project scope development to ensure seamless integration with the balance of plant.
    • Developing commissioning plans and supporting facility commissioning and start-up.
  • Participate in commercial and regulatory discussions, staying current with evolving standards and understanding how product specifications, customer requirements, permit conditions, and renewable energy credit programs affect the design of Divert's RNG facilities.
  • Evaluate alternative and novel approaches to biogas utilization.
